It's over for 2009 Brewers fans....has been for weeks, maybe months! 24 games to go and we still see the Cardinals, Cubs (7 games), Rockies, and Phillies this season. What a disaster!

On Sunday, September 20, 2009 at Miller Park there is an all-fan giveaway of a Doug Melvin bobblehead. I can't wait!! I can't wait to bash it against my over-priced season seats that I wasn't allowed to move because of the excitement and promise that this season was bringing!!

3,000,000 fans through the turnstiles for the second season, 8th best attendance in the league, and this was the best he could give us this year? Was there not an outcry for pitching immediately when Sabathia put on the pinstripes and Sheets left for nowhere land?

Instead Doug Melvin insisted that Gallardo, Parra, Suppan, and Bush would have to step it up a notch and he added Looper to the mix. Mid season brought Lopez, an infielder, and Weathers, a reliever!

Michael Hunt wrote in todays JSOnline that Melvin has expressed regret in not making a trade attempt at Jarod Washburn, Doug Davis, or at least looking at Pedro Martinez. Again...the fans have been calling for pitching all season, where was Doug? Oh, as Michael Hunt wrote...Melvin has vowed to be aggressive is seeking pitching, and more pitching next season, even at the cost of maybe Fielder, Hardy, or Escobar. http://www.jsonline.com/sports/brewers/57912662.html

Speaking of J.J. Hardy....what a bang up job Melvin did of alienating a home town favorite! J.J. was having a rough season, but if Jason Bourgeois and Frank Catalanotto belong in a Brewers uniform, so does he! The scam that Melvin pulled with keeping J.J. down in AAA ball a few extra days just so the Brewers can control him an extra year was enough to have J.J. silently screaming, "I want out!" Who cares about the 10,000 or so fans that don Hardy clothing to every Brewers game, lets ship him off for a A ball catcher or something!

I'd like to see Attanasio hang Melvin's job out on the line! He clearly dropped the ball this year, after being flawless for the past few! I'm not saying fire the guy....but someone needs to be hang or be publicly held accountable for this mess!!
